Description
Welcome to the Stay Fit and Keeping Balance WALKING GROUP! This program is open to community dwelling adults 55+ in the Niagara area. The goal of the program is to improve the health and wellness of participants to help them stay healthy, safe and strong. The walk program runs once per week at each location for 1 hour. It is FREE of charge. Proof of vaccination is required. Please stay home if you are feeling unwell.
A limited number of Urban/activator poles, Nordic poles and hand weights will be available to use for the walks but are not required. Stretching and balance exercises will be included. Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for the weather and supportive closed toes shoes. Don’t forget your water! Walks will be cancelled if it is raining, so please check the forecast before leaving your home.
