Occupational Therapy Services
Our occupational therapists make home visits to clients who are referred by our team, by other organizations (e.g. The Alzheimer Society). They also accept new clients referred directly at reception.
- They make a full assessment of the client’s condition and the safety of their home.
- If necessary, they will also assess the risk of complications linked to dementia.
- Our occupational therapists can help clients obtain mobility aids through the Assistive Devices Program (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.) as well as home safety equipment, guiding them through each step of the process. Both of our occupational therapists are authorized to carry out assessments and fill out forms for this program.
Our occupational therapists also organize group sessions:
-
Keeping balance
- Walking group
- Group for chronic pain
Specific workshops focused on safety, falls prevention and chronic pain management are also available.
