Nursing services include:

• Monitoring chronic conditions
• General health assessments
• Monitoring prescriptions and checking medication
• Health education
• Injections in the home
• Collecting samples (blood, urine, etc.)
• 24-hour blood pressure monitoring
• Testing lung function
• Contacting the attending physician, pharmacy or any other third party, as needed

Our nursing staff visit retirement homes and the homes of eligible clients to deliver their services, with a referral from the attending physician. In the community (at the CSCHN, retirement homes, etc.), they regularly hold:

• Blood pressure monitoring clinics
• Foot care clinics, on referral by a family doctor
• Educational workshops
• Vitamin B12 clinics
